About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over twelve years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples and groups. I use relational and cognitive-behavioral techniques in therapy and continually integrate evidence-based approaches that meet the needs of each individual. Psychodynamic theory provides me with a humanistic understanding of the basic struggles and conflicts that we all face.
I received my Ph.D. at The Graduate Center of the City University of New York and I have trained and worked in outpatient and inpatient hospital services, university counseling and community mental health settings. For my doctoral dissertation, I conducted research on the assessment of defenses and object relations in personality testing.
Before becoming a clinical psychologist I spent seven years as a pre-school teacher and I have a MA in Child Development from Sarah Lawrence College. This training informs my work with parents and families.
